Today saw us head south down to Seaworld in San Diego. It's about a 2 hour trip from LA, but I'm sure our driver was trying to make it in 1.First thing on the list of must see was Shamu, the star attraction, and he was well worth the hype. We also saw an animal show somewhat similar to Universal, but still just as good.
Then it was time for Luke to try the Journey to Atlantis roller coaster, which was very disappointing, not nearly long enough or scary enough for the wait.
We also saw heaps of exhibits / enclosures such as the polar bears (which involves a very cool motion simulator helicopter ride to the "arctic base"), and the sharks which were quite scary close up.
The day finished with the dolphin show, which again was amazing to see how high they can jump out of the water. We then saw the Haunted Lighthouse 4D show, which like Shrek included squirting water and eerie wind and ghosts moved out at you and mice ran under foot.
We then went on the scariest ride of the whole day - the bus ride back to LA.
