Some time ago we decided that we'd get married by Elvis in Las Vegas.
We couldn't just go to the US for a few days, so we decided to make a holiday of it.
What follows are the photos and stories of our trip.

San Francisco

Well we're on the countdown - only three more days left before we fly home!

On Saturday we walked through Chinatown and down to the Pier area. We passed a church that we thought was cool so we took a pic to later be told that it was where Jo Dimaggio married Norma Jean!

Being a Saturday the Pier area was packed. We lined up to ride the cable car back to our hotel. Luckily time isn't an issue for us as it took an hour to finally get on. Luke must not have heard when I said I didn't want to be on the outside of the car, because that's exactly where he took us! I couldn't have held on tighter as we went up and down those steep hills if I had of tried ! We stayed on until the end of the line and then went to have a look at the Westfield shopping plaza. It was Robbie heaven - seven floors of shops!

Sunday we headed back down to the Pier and went on a 2.5 hour tour of the city before going on our tour of Alcatraz, which was amazing. It totally lived up to what we thought it would be like. Lots of stories - some sad, some funny and some down right scary! The cruise there and back was quite good too - seeing the SF skyline from Alacatraz at night is quite spectacular. We got back to the Pier around 8.30 pm so headed to a place called the Cannery for dinner before heading back to the hotel.

Today we had a bit of a sleep in and then in the afternoon went to the Imax theatre to see the Transformers movie and then to one of the Grotto's for dinner. The place we went to was recommended to us, but it was very disappointing.

That's about it for now, more to come tomorrow.
